the surging support from the fashion media for illustration is fast becoming a industry in itself. as many artists and designers combine their talents and interests, their soulful interpretations are steadily competing with the vividness of photography. i find this a welcome injection that blurs the lucid reality of the sartorially saturated blogosphere a bit to make room for some interpretation vs dictation. i can’t remember when i first came across the inspiring illustrations of moisés quesada, but what i do remember is that i made a note to keep an eye out for his work. imagine then my unsurprising reaction when i ran into his beautiful imagery again; his hypnotic doodle style notebook drawings are more than mere fashion sketching, it conveys the artful passion of the designer… of which i especially like the portraits of bryan boy and anna piaggi.
