move over morandi… my attraction to heidi lerkenfeldt interior and product photography is obvious; her eye also strives to isolate and connect shapes, textures and colour simultaneously. the balance is created through reading the negative space and cleverly styling it with organised clutter. decor styling and interior catalogues can share the same predictable boredom but in heidi’s photographs she and pernille vest uses a deliberate seemingly random placement of furnishings which results in an interestingly minimal look that i find quite refreshing.
