for the 15th anniversary of vogue japan the team of über hair guru luigi murenu and daniele + iango compiled a nostalgic fashion moment styled by giovanna battaglia, featuring everyone’s favourite models from the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s. what interests me in this is once again how powerful iconography can be; which ever way you view it, from an art directional, marketing or pure fashion styling perspective, it negates the flippancy generally ascribed to fashion and re-affirms our need for a reflection on our ever changing concepts of beauty.
