i always scout around in search of new talent and emerging artistry. too often the mainstream only gives ear to their market related obsessions with proven successes which in turn suffocates the new and the nasty. sure, not everything is always great from the start which is why i’m glad i never heard beethoven practice. i truly believe there’s a lot of shit out there, but i also realise that in between there are a few sparks with invention and determination and a dose of insecurity who need to realise their dreams and talents. vincent minor strikes me as such an artist. although there is an obvious sensitivity and sincerity in what he does, most of all it is the obsessive quality of how he does it that makes all the difference. i’m definitely keeping an eye on this one.
