i’ve started to re-organise my wardrobe in a rather hap hazard way to coincide with the autumn weather patterns… even though we don’t have the extreme weather that other parts of the world are experiencing, i have figured that layering is on the cards until the next ice-age perhaps. it is with this in mind that i looked again at y.project by yohan serfaty; the lean silhouettes are tidy enough with simple detailing; easy to pass for more dressy-casual and since the seasons have gone all-weather, leather is perfect for up-down dressing. there is a sharpness to a lot of the pieces that i am quite comfortable with since the baggy look makes me look just that… i also love the sharper tones of olive, teal and chartreuse that he uses even if a friend of mine says it makes me look pallid. from a more practical angle; being often caught doing day-for-night, this collection is all together an intelligent choice for the flexibility i am so partial to…
