seclusion is still one of my favorite luxuries… not isolation, thank you. that i have enough of. the early twentieth century arts and crafts building that houses ett hem in stockholm has that precious thing… being central enough but not too exposed. the other super attraction is the home-made-ness… like visiting a sophisticated aunt with impeccable taste; i just love that sparse-scandinavian-meets-gustavian-classic look. brilliant for appearing and disappearing discreetly from the frenetics of the fashion week. with only twelve rooms it can afford to accommodate your little idiosyncrasies and make you feel less like a tourist. although the domestic atmosphere might not be everyone’s choice, all the modern luxuries and connectivities are catered for with the kiehl’s bathroom amenities a very welcome touch.
