in a luxury fashion brand world dominated by corporate ownership such as lvmh, richemont and ppr, hats off to brunello cucinelli and his luxury clothing empire for endeavoring to go public. his application was approved by the Commissione Nazionale per le Società e la Borsa this week. mr cucinelli has innovated and produced consistent quality fashion with respectful innovation and expanded his cashmere business into an international clothing brand since 1978. his traditional values by no means translate into tired old designs. true to his humanist credo where people are at the centre of his goal of the ‘supreme good’; his ethics also extends to his business philosophy, a firm supporter of the arts and a gift to humanity his consciousness is an inspiration to the industry. i believe it might not be the greatest idea ever for luxury monopolies to remain unchallenged and therefore welcome the descisions of brands like prada and ferragamo who list publicly or others like sonia rykiel that remain independent. diversity is the new wealthy. now we just have to wait and see what happens to hermes next…?

Stupidity & Sensitivity

Since it’s nearly impossible to gauge each individual’s level of sensitivity or stupidity, I’d rather play it safe and classify this site as suitable for adults only. Although that term is still nebulous to me, the responsibility remains that of the viewer.
